Pramono Ensures Transparency in Labor-Intensive Program Recruitment

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has assured that recruitment for job vacancies under the Jakarta Provincial Government's labor-intensive program will be free from nepotism and insider connections.

Since the entire system is very open, insider connections will not be possible

He emphasized that the recruitment process will be carried out transparently, allowing the public to monitor the selection process.

"Since the entire system is very open, insider connections will not be possible. The system is transparent, and people can see and monitor it. There will be no interaction of that kind at all," Pramono said at the Bank Indonesia's Jakarta Representative Office in Central Jakarta on Friday (6/19).

Pramono said a total of 2,843 labor-intensive job openings have been prepared as a social safety net for Jakarta residents.

He has also instructed relevant agencies to accelerate the recruitment process to help maintain people's purchasing power.

"I have asked several agencies to open the recruitment soon. It should be available in the coming weeks because strengthening the social safety net is necessary," he added.

Pramono said the recruitment requirements are designed to be accessible for interested residents. Applicants only need a Jakarta ID card (KTP) and are not required to have a specific educational background.

"The main requirement is having a Jakarta ID card. No diploma is required, and most importantly, applicants can immediately start working," he asserted.

Through the labor-intensive program, Pramono aims to help unemployed residents return to work and improve their family welfare. Participants will receive wages equivalent to Jakarta's provincial minimum wage (UMP).

"What is needed now is to help those without jobs. Some of them are already working as PJLP, and through this program, they will have jobs with wages at the Jakarta UMP level," he said.
